C.O.R.E. Re-Entry Inc. aims to support justice-impacted individuals and their families by providing a nexus of support services. The organization collaborates with community organizations, employers, and educational partners to create pathways that combat barriers historically limiting justice-impacted individuals from reaching their fullest potential.

We are dedicated to supporting justice-impacted individuals and their families by providing comprehensive support services. Our mission is to collaborate with community organizations, employers, and educational partners to create pathways that help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their fullest potential.
In the United States, 1 in 3 adults has a criminal record, affecting approximately 80 million people. There are 44,000 laws nationwide that restrict access for individuals with criminal records, with 19,000 specifically targeting employment.
The unemployment rate for those with criminal records is over 27%, higher than any other unemployment rate in U.S. history, including during the Great Depression. In Illinois alone, 3.3 million people are affected by 1,300 restrictive laws, primarily limiting employment opportunities.
Creating a supportive community is fundamental to our mission. C.O.R.E. has established a strong network of partners and workforce development pathways to ensure justice-impacted individuals receive the support they need to find employment. We believe that building a network of supportive partners is crucial for the reintegration of justice-impacted individuals into society.
We provide numerous employment opportunities through our extensive network of community and workforce partners. Empowering justice-impacted individuals with various employment options leads to empowerment and freedom. Our goal is to ensure that individuals have the opportunities they need to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to their communities.
Resources are vital for success. C.O.R.E. educates employers on the benefits of Second Chance Hiring programs, which are crucial for reducing recidivism and fostering an inclusive workforce. By breaking the cycle of recidivism, we promote a thriving and inclusive community. We work to change perceptions and break down barriers, giving justice-impacted individuals a true second chance.
Employment is key to stability and growth. C.O.R.E. advocates for Second Chance Hiring programs, working to change perceptions and ensure that employers understand the value and potential of these programs. We aim to change the narrative around justice-impacted individuals and highlight their potential as valuable members of the workforce.
Join us in our mission to provide second chances and support justice-impacted individuals. Together, we can create a society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
